Hidden Gems at APEC 2016

Joining us at APEC 2016?

Lots of suppliers want to share with you what you can find from them on the exhibit floor.

But APEC is more than just an exhibition for us. It’s an educational conference.

Here’s what you’ll learn from Wurth Electronics Midcom at APEC -- off the exhibition floor.

Saturday, March 19

Ranjith Bramanpalli, Application Engineer at Würth Elektronik, is ready to help solve the black magic that is Power Magnetics at High Frequency. He’ll be presenting this at the PSMA workshop this year.

Tuesday, March 22

Two topics our customers often ask for help about are designing in power inductors and designing in custom flyback transformers. We’ve simplified both of these into two short 30-minute sessions.

Raghu Narayanan, Product Definition Engineer at Würth Elektronik, will give 8 Simple Design Tips to designing in a power inductor. You can listen to him in Room 203AB at 3:00pm.

Just a few minutes later, at 3:45pm, Dean Huumala, Product Marketing & Development Manager at Wurth Electronics Midcom, will unravel custom flyback transformers, making them easy for everyone to understand.

Wednesday, March 23

Wednesday, we move into Energy Harvesting (ID1002) with Lorandt Fӧlkel, Product Manager at Würth Elektronik. You might know Lorandt as one of our tech experts teaching the plethora of EMC seminars and webinars we offer throughout the year around the globe. He’ll present this IS07 at 8:30am in room 202AB.

In the afternoon, Ranjith steps up again to talk about Accurate Calculation of AC Losses in Power Inductors (ID1013). We think you’ll find the new calculation method unique. Ranjith is anxious to share it with you in IS09 from 2:00 - 5:25pm in 201A.

Thursday, March 24

We’re really packing it in on the last day of the conference. With two poster sessions and a final industry session, you’ll walk away with a full brain!

Dragan Dinulovic, Product Manager at Würth Elektronik, will share a poster session about On-Chip High Performance Magnetics for Point-of-Load, High-Frequency DC-DC Converters (ID1705). Check it out in the Poster Area D09 from 11:30am - 2:00pm.

At the same time, our very own Chief Technology Officer of Würth Elektronik, Alexander Gerfer, will present Wide-Input High Power Density Flexible Converter Topology for DC-DC Applications (ID1966) in the Poster Area D03 from 11:30 - 2:00pm.

To wrap it all up, Ranjith joins the lineup one last time to discuss the Behavior of Electro-Magnetic Radiation of Storage Inductors in DC-DC Converters (ID1077). You can listen to IS19a in 202AB from 2:00 - 3:40pm.

From custom transformers to power inductors, from energy harvesting to AC loss calculations, we’ll teach you all you need to know at APEC 2016. Click here to see the full seminar schedule.

Can’t wait to see you there!
